Internal Quality Assurance and the European Standards and Guidelines

The Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education call for agencies to have internal quality assurance (IQA) procedures in place. Theese procedures help to demonstrate to stakeholders that agencies are serious in wishing to improve their own performance. Having procedures on paper is one thing. Successful implementation of procedural improvements in agencies, regardless of their size, is the real challenge.
